Dr Raghav Bhatia
Dr Raghav Bhatia is a Consultant Cardiologist and Lead for Inherited Cardiac Conditions and Sports Cardiology at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, United Kingdom.
He graduated with distinction from Norwich Medical School in 2011, earning an open scholarship for the duration of his studies, and obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2014 and Fellowship in 2025.
From 2020 to 2023, he was a Cardiac Risk in the Young Fellow, supporting the UK’s largest voluntary cardiac screening programme, developing his expertise in inherited cardiac conditions and sports cardiology at St George’s, University of London, where he also completed his Ph.D. on the prevention of young sudden cardiac death.
Dr Bhatia’s research has received national and international recognition, including BCS, EAPC, and ESC Young Investigator Awards, as well as multiple Best of the Best prizes.
He leads the Principles of Cardiovascular Evaluation of Athletes module on the MSc in Sports Cardiology at St George’s and remains actively involved with national charities, including the myheart network.
He is deeply committed to improving population-level cardiovascular health, particularly in regions of the country most in need.
