So many people have contacted myheart wondering if there are others who they could talk to, who are in similar circumstances to themselves. No matter how much professional support is offered (either medical or therapeutic), sometimes just chatting to someone “who has been through a similar experience” helps the most. To reduce the social isolation for people who have been suddenly diagnosed with a cardiac condition after thinking that they were fit and healthy, myheart has developed online support communities.
myheart offers a private Facebook group for individuals living with a cardiac condition to connect via social media. Any member of the myheart network aged 18 and over can join this group by invitation.

The myheart website allows members to log in and actively contribute by sharing their stories, event write-ups, and questions, as well as engaging with other members’ content through comments. Members have the option to keep their uploaded content private or publish it publicly, giving them full control over their contributions.
