Stand at ‘Up the Pace’ organised by Bristol Children’s Hospital

Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) was very kindly invited to hold a stand at ‘Up the Pace’, an annual event in its sixth year, organised by Bristol Children’s Hospital at At-Bristol Science Centre in Bristol on 5th March. Kanika Bhateja, CRY’s myheart coordinator attended the event. IMG_1654

There were about 100 young pacemaker and ICD patients who go to Bristol Children’s hospital and their families who attended the event. The event – with a combination of workshops, discussions, speeches, trainings, and games – lets the patients and their families meet each other and provide useful information, an enjoyable experience, and even a new friendship! Various charitable organisations including CRY were invited to hold a stand at the event. This gave the attendees at the event an opportunity to speak to representatives of these charities and the services and support they offer for ICD and pacemaker patients and their families.
