South East myheart Meeting – Sunday 19th October 2014

The next South East myheart meeting will be held on Sunday 19th October, between 10am-4pm, in Holiday Inn London Sutton, Gibson Road, Sutton, Surrey, SM1 2RF. Directions to the hotel can be found here.

If you have questions about your condition or would like to meet other young people, aged 14 to 35, coping with the diagnosis of a heart condition come along to a myheart meeting.

There will be a group session where you can speak to others about how they have coped with their condition and any other issues that have arisen since your diagnosis. This session is facilitated by Alan Jones, a counsellor experienced in working with young people coping with heart conditions.

Lunch will be provided followed by a medical question and answer session with Dr Michael Papadakis, Consultant Cardiologist at St George’s Hospital. This Q&A session provides an opportunity to discuss any questions about your condition, exercise or any other cardiac concerns you may have with a cardiologist.

The event is fully funded by CRY and travel costs will be reimbursed on submission of receipts after the event.

If you would like to attend this meeting please register on the form below to book your place. The deadline to register for this event is Friday 12 September 2014.

If less than 8 people have registered by the deadline, unfortunately the event will be cancelled.

Please note, due to the subject matters that are covered during these meetings and the privacy of other members, we only allow myheart members to stay for the full duration of the meeting. Parents, partners and children are able to accompany myheart members for the first half hour of the meeting, but must leave when the counselling session begins at 10.30am. If you are a parent, we do run separate Parents’ Support Sessions from time-to-time, details of which will be given in the ‘Meetings’ section of the myheart website.

If you have any further questions please contact CRY’s myheart Coordinator, Bev, at myheart@c-r-y.org.uk or on 01737 363 222.
